New Workshop Series: Linux Command-Line for Developers
A comprehensive hands-on workshop series on the Linux command line “The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear, and the oldest and strongest fear is the fear of the unknown.” – Howard Phillips Lovecraft Hey all! Recently I got the opportunity to take on the role of technical lead at Open Source Chandigarh, and it’s been an exciting journey so far. My friend Rehan (Who is also our mentor at Open Source Chandigarh) and I have been discussing an idea for a while now: conducting a workshop on Linux at our campus. We wanted to show people that Linux isn’t just an Operating System, but a viable alternative to windows and macOS, and the superior choice for developers and power users alike. (We are two big nerds who talk about nerdy things all the time so this was supposed to be our biggest chance to nerd it out in front of many people.) After some brainstorming with the team, the idea on was finalized as conducting a workshop on the Linux Command-Line. As part of this workshop, I decided to write a tutorial on the linux cli – in the form of a blog series which anyone can go through to learn basic linux cli tools.: This series will take you from terminal newcomer to confident command-line user. I Hope your next “Open the terminal” encounter is more enjoyable :P
